Joey Turns 11

Happy 11th Birthday Joey!

You light up the world with your smile and make us all laugh so hard

I love how you will never let me carry anything

I love how you still take everything very literal

I love how extra hard you work at something that doesn’t come easy for you

I love that you want breakfast burritos for your birthday dinner

I love watching you build things and I love being your partner in pictionary

I love watching you love Jesus, your church and your family.

Happy Birthday buddy! Today is going to be fantastic and so much fun!

21 Day Fix Extreme Meal Plan Week Two

Here goes nothing for Week Two of the 21 Day Fix Extreme. The first week I did really well with just a couple of slip ups during the weekend. I got all the workout in except for Pilates Fix Extreme.

This week’s goals are to try and get all of the workouts in and to meal prep for next weekend because it is super busy! Click HERE to get a Downloadable PDF of the meal plan below.

Chipotle’s Online Meal Planning Tool

So its the new year and you are trying to eat __________ fill in the blank (vegan, paleo, dairy free, etc.) But you LOVE Chipotle. It’s YOUR LIFE 😉

Well you are in luck because today Chipotle launched a special online tool so whether you are lower calorie, lower fat, lower sodium, lower carb, high protein, vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, Paleo, or no added sugar you can see at a glance what is a “GO FOR IT” or  “NO GO”

There is even a nutrition calculator that you can use to build your item so you know exactly the nutrition info for your unique Chipotle fix.  So what’s your favorite? And yes, I know the guac is extra! 🙂

The 2017 Word of the Year Is…

I actually was able to choose my word of the year for 2017 fairly quickly but was really hesitant to put it on paper because it was so easy! I am a doer. Sometimes well alot of times to a fault. I just see this overarching theme of being present over perfect this year while still being productive and that is where my word of the year comes in!

  • :  to prepare or prepare and use for the raising of crops; also :  to loosen or break up the soil about (growing plants)

  • 2 a :  to foster the growth of <cultivate vegetables>

  • b :  culture 2a c :  to improve by labor, care, or study :  refine <cultivate the mind>

  • 3 :  further, encourage <cultivate the arts>

  • 4 :  to seek the society of :  make friends with

Gosh I love so much about this definition!!

To foster the growth of (my business)

To improve by labor, care or study (the way I want to care for and focus un-distracted on my children)

To encourage (my husband)

To make friends with (to grow in reaching out in community and not isolate myself)

All of these things were on my vision board for 2017 before my word was chosen.

I love this quote from Brene Brown:

“We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection.”

So that is my mantra this year. To not just DO but to CULTIVATE, little by little, brick by brick. Purposeful in all I do and all I do not do.
